Helena and Aron – Engagement Session on the ship M/S Stockholm

When Helen contacted me to shoot her wedding, we decided more or less directly that we would meet and talk. Since Aron is working at sea it took a little time before we got to it. Anyway, we sat down over a cup of coffee and talked about their wedding photo, the engagement session and a lot more. It really nice to get to know them. But it was also really exciting, Aron told me a lot about his work on the icebreaker, they told me about trips they’ve done, and much more. And when we talked further about settings for the wedding day we suddenly got it…

M / S Stockholm, a boat that Aron worked at some summers and Helena traveled with was in port Gothenburg to be winter-fixed. And we got free access. It’s a ship that during the summer brings tourists and scientists to Svalbard, to see polar bears and the incredible environment. It is a ship built in the 50ths after 1940-century drawings and have kept all the little details since. The ship was used in Peter Dalles new movie ” An enemy to die for ”.

The E-session was on board and around the ship. We started to go a little tour and take some pictures on deck and then we went ashore for a short walk. After that we went aboard and even went down into the engine room. Who knows, maybe it will become a white dress down there too?!

The whole time it was really super nice. Both Helena and Aron is one of those wonderfully relaxed and nice couple. A couple that you want to be friends with. Furthermore, their wedding to be super good looking!!! That I know! But until then you will have to make do with their engagement session from this december!

Portrait of my sister

I haven’t blogged in a really long time. I hope to change that now because I really have super much that I want to show you.

Last Friday my sister Sofia visited. She needed to have a few pictures to her CV and when we were satisfied with the usual photos so we took the opportunity to play a little. Here you can see one of the later images.

This will just be the start of a spring with lots and lots of posts!

Talk to you again soon!

The story of Sonia & Abbe, Sarah & Craig

Friends, Now it’s time for me to show the first wedding of 2012, and the first where I was only an assistant.

A wedding that lasted for 2 days and where I was 2a-photographer and assisted the amazing Sonia Jansson.

A wedding where all the money went to the Heart Research for children.

A wedding at St Bridget’s Chapel, and a party at Stora Moss Kullen.

In short, Sarah & Craig’s wedding.

Read and see the long history here:

Another preview of Camilla and Fredrik

It happens so much right now so I barely have time to blog. But on Tuesday, I promise that you will get to see Camilla and Frederick’s fabulous wedding.
Stay tuned for a lot of other stuff before that.

Preview of Johanna & Jacob

Some times you can’t wait!

I photographed Johanna & James this Saturday. You know that couple that I had a e-session with last spring. And now, the waiting is over. Now, finally, it was their big day. And what a day. Brilliant sunshine and glorious autumnal crispness and an absolutely fantastic nice day.

And even though the weather was absolutely incredibly beautiful, it’s nothing against them. Amazingly beautiful! Look and see for your self. I know that a preview should not be much more than one or maybe two shots. But I can not stop myself. I can not wait!

Rival Sons and Chris Isaak

As you know I am not just a wedding photographer. And even though weddings is one of the most fun to shoot, there is much other shoots that is almost as fun. As music, for example. I have written before that I had the opportunity to follow some bands and artists at very close range.

Others I only meet briefly for a small portrait session and live photo. As this weekend’s shows with Rival Sons and Chris Isaak. Both absolutely fantastic gig. Both are from the U.S., both on Trädgårn here in Gothenburg and both documented by me. Rival Sons from Saturday and Chris Isaak from yesterday, Sunday.

Rival Sons, I can also reveal where a nice bunch, who both shook hands and remembered my name. It warms an old photographer’s heart.

Here you have photos from this weekend.

New website for In Flames

As you may know, I do not just shoot weddings but also a lot of other things. I will try to show some of the other stuff I do now in the near future.

To start somewhere, I can tell you that one of my main interests has always been music. In recent years, to shoot music. And by this, I have become one of the Swedish band In Flames photographers. I have over the years had the luxury to hang with them and document everything from concerts, tours to the recording of new albums.

Last night they released their new website and although it is not completely finished there are already a lot of photos. A lot of photos taken by me. Especially if you look at each band member. Check out their website here

Preview of Camilla & Frederik

Sometimes you can not keep away, you just know it’s SO good. Like now, as with Camilla & Frederik. I photographed their wedding yesterday and now I woke up until the middle of the night and had to go through some of the pictures.

There is so much to say about their day. And incredibly thorough and with all those great little details. I can not help but wonder how they succeeded. And you will get exactly the same feeling. But not quite yet. First, you get to see a preview with some portraits. You will see how amazingly good they looked.

And to you, Camilla & Frederick. When you read this, thanks for letting me join. You are amazing. And with all my heart; CONGRATULATIONS!

Preview of Malin & Peter

It is a couple of weeks ago now. A couple of weeks since the lovely Malin & Peter got married. Right at this moment I’m working with their images so they can get a delivery later in the week. Obviously, I will show you everything later, but before that here’s a little sneak preview of a few favorites. I give you …

The stunning Malin & Peter, the preview.

The King and the Fisherman

Last week I had an unusual assignment, I photographed for the Swedish fishing magazine ”Fiskejournalen” and their premiere showing of the documentary ”Expedition: The old man and the sea” made by Martin Falklind. It was Cuban theme with a lot of people in all sorts of different dresses. But that’s not all. There was also additional things that happened during the evening. ”The Foundation of Baltic salmon” was inaugurated by His Majesty the King and chairman of the Swedish recreational fishermen Joakim Ollén. The Foundation will work to secure the wild Baltic salmon future.

So not only festive and mingling photo I also shoot the king, for instance when he cut the ribbon. Here you can see some of my press photos that were sent out.

Local shooting with Nina & Gustaf

The best weddings for me as a photographer are usually when I follow the wedding couple all day. And it’s often you feel that you do not want to leave them. You’re so close throughout their whole day.

Sometimes, however, the opposite is just as wonderful. Nina & Gustaf live in Goteborg just like me. In fact, they even live in the same house I lived in before. They were married just over a week ago in Masthuggskyrkan in Gothenburg. It is the church with best view (looking down over Majorna in the west). The view is so good that it even came a busload of French tourists and stopped us in our photography.

Nina and Gustav did not want a full day. In fact, they just wanted portraits. But we had just as good time. And as you can see they’re really nice, everyone. Especially their daughter Izabella. What eyes! And Gustaf’s beard, and Nina’s stomach, and the view …. Everything was actually super nice apart from the weather. Almost a little autumn rain in the middle of August. But it is at the same time the only thing you can not influence.

Here’s my portraits of Gustaf & Nina!

A slideshow

I shoot Malin & Peter’s wedding on the 12th August, and afterwards I made a little slide show to them. I tried to capture the feeling of their amazing day and wedding. I feel like I succeeded quite well. It do has swedish music, but you might like it anyway?!

Would you like to see it you just have to look into here

Love!

Preview of a preshoot

I don’t think I have to explain it any further, but next week I’ll give you the biggest preshoot submission ever.

An engagement session at Röda Sten in Gothenburg

You do know that I always do a engagementsession if you book any of my wedding packages. Last week I had the pleasure to shoot Åsa & Micke’s session. They’re gonna get married down at Röda Sten and Klippan in Gothenburg and would like to take their portraits around there. So we took the opportunity to check out the surroundings together. And do our engagement session och pre-photography as some call it.

They’re really a super nice couple and I look forward to be part of their big day. But first you’ll see their beautiful engagement session

Preview of Liza & Henrik

Now you will see a small preview of Liza and Henrik’s stunning wedding in Nääs outside of Gothenburg. It was the Swedish summer with all that implies. It was at the beautiful Nääs vänhem. And it was a night of many laughs and great music. You will all get to see it soon. But for now so you will have to do with some of the portraits, as a small preview.

Liza and Henrik are two really wonderful people. They are both very warm and cozy, they both shine, and above all at each other. Henrik’s joking, which even gives a photographer trouble keeping the camera still. Liza which meets up with small fun entries and her smile. In addition to it. See for yourselves. They are so beautiful! And in love!

Ps. I also took an engagement session with them. It can be found here.

Standup on Trädgår’n

Yesterday I did something so different as to shoot Stand up comedy on Trädgår’n here in Gothenburg. It was a big bunch of white men, to use their own words, who joked about everything and nothing. Very much below the belt but also lot of overhead. Six comedians and almost 2 hours of laugter behind the camera.

This year’s Badjävlar was Henrik Schyffert, Fredrik Lindström, Magnus Betnér, Peter Apelgren, Johan Rheborg and Björn Gustafsson. After running so it was also a small portrait session with the guys who unfortunately must be private.

Busy times…

I have a very busy time with several weddings, fix of concert Photos, magazines and plenty of deliveries. Of course, I totally enjoy being able to work on with all that I love.

In the middle of everything that happens, Ung Cancer writes about me helping them. They wrote very nicely about me on their side. Read it in Swedish here: Thousand ways to help

And then, last Saturday night, just returned from a wedding, I get a totally fantastic email. These things really make me happy. Read for yourself (translated by google):

Hello! I found here via Facebook and is now looking around. What good you are! I love the style you have and you manage to really bring out the story / mood of your photos. I love it! I photographed a lot for a few years ago, but makes it almost never long, unfortunately. But now, I was SO inspired by your pictures you will probably pick up my camera again. Will go social / media now in high school, then I also get involved with photography, editing and writing at school! Will stay on your website and be more inspired when needed.

I was so happy when I saw your wedding photos. Have always thought it must be so hard to get good pictures of the wedding. But where did you real good! You can see just how happy couples are and it is so wonderful feeling in the photos! Really.

And that you give money to Young Cancer! It’s that good! Was so happy when I read it. Should be more like you who do so. For almost a year ago, I lost a friend to cancer, and also had a classmate who is ill. And he’s still alive! What you do in fact save lives!

That was what I wanted to say! Continue shoot and you are a great source of inspiration!

Michaela

Thank you Michaela!
You really make me never want to stop!

I leave you with a picture from Metaltown and the not entirely unknown guitarist Björn Gelotte.

As if I met a pretty girl on the street

Last Sunday me and Katarina was on our way home to a few friends for dinner. We walked through Linnestan in Gothenburg and all of a sudden there was the perfect afternoon light.

It’s moments like these that I am so incredibly grateful to be married to a woman who thinks it’s fun to be photographed. And the fact that Katarina is the hottest girl in town don’t do anything worse for me.
