Portrait of Ida

It has been pretty quiet from me lately. But do not think that I have nothing to show, on the contrary, I have lots of new beautiful pictures. It’s just the time to show them that is missing.

But I must start somewhere and here comes a couple of portraits I took at Ida few weeks ago. Want to see more of her, just to look at her blog where she and her sister writes about fashion and lots of other things (in Swedish though): fashion nerds.

Enjoy!

Press Images for Restaurant Hoze

José is Gothenburg’s best Sushi chef. Perhaps even Sweden’s best. He runs on his own the very special restaurant Hoze in Gothenburg. He has been trained by a Japanese master and serves fantastic sushi and other totally incredible dishes. The fish he uses is almost always Swedish and Nordic, everything from herring to cod.

Metro gave him five stars and he is beginning to become a star among the Swedish chef’s. Do you get the opportunity to visit him because you will not regret it for one second.

I’ve taken a bunch of press photos of him and where you can not only see José but also his special knife and the Japanese Yuzu fruit.

Promo photos of Anders Björler

I have just delivered the photos to Anders Björler (Grammy winning guitarist of the Haunted and At the Gates) who is going to release his first solo album. The album is really interesting and is a mix of everything from classical music, jazz, progressive rock and especially film music. Incredibly fun to show you the first picture taken inside the Natural History Museum in Gothenburg.

New models today or an afternoon in the stable

Today’s afternoon shooting meant a new kind of models for me. And yes, they’re all cute in some way though I am a little scared for anything bigger than a dog.

More photos and what it should be then I will tell you in a few weeks.

Julia Mjörnstedt for the website 1177.se

I photograph full time but I show’s far too little of the pictures I take for other organizations or company than just that related to weddings.
But it’s time for a change. I have started and here comes another one of my pictures from a different context.

This is a portrait taken for the website 1177.se of Julia Mjörnstedt. Julia has founded the organization Ung Cancer (young Cancer) and is photographer as well.

1177.se wanted to use the picture in connection with her chronicles. They wanted to be used in landscape mode with text around it and as a close up portrait.

If you would like to read Julia’s chronicle can you do that in Swedish here.

Atronic’s board and staff

Atronic making solutions for payments. Much more than that, I do not know. Last summer, I got the assignment to photograph the board of the company when they, for once, were gathered in Gothenburg.

The assignment was to capture them in a bit more relaxed and free situation than a normal studio shooting. We went out of the restaurant where they were having the meeting in and took some pictures. The pictures are taken under one roof in the pouring rain and I took up to 5 minutes per person.

After these photos, I then asked to take photos of staff in the same way. These photos where taken outside of their office in Hisingen.

Portrait of my sister

I haven’t blogged in a really long time. I hope to change that now because I really have super much that I want to show you.

Last Friday my sister Sofia visited. She needed to have a few pictures to her CV and when we were satisfied with the usual photos so we took the opportunity to play a little. Here you can see one of the later images.

This will just be the start of a spring with lots and lots of posts!

Talk to you again soon!

As if I met a pretty girl on the street

Last Sunday me and Katarina was on our way home to a few friends for dinner. We walked through Linnestan in Gothenburg and all of a sudden there was the perfect afternoon light.

It’s moments like these that I am so incredibly grateful to be married to a woman who thinks it’s fun to be photographed. And the fact that Katarina is the hottest girl in town don’t do anything worse for me.

A revisit with Lina & Fredrik

Sometimes you get the chance to relive one day, or just part of a day. I got that chance when I met Lina & Fredrik 10 months after their wedding. The same wall on Södermalm in Stockholm and the same wonderful couple.

Would you like to see their wedding there in the portfolio or if you just click here!

Today I’m delivering this to Jenny & Anders…

Today I’m delivering the wedding of Jenny & Anders which I shot in September last year. It was a family-shoot and later the portraits. They had a picnic in Trädgårdsföreningen in Gothenburg and I was there to capture it. I really enjoyed photographing the two of them. Such easygoing and nice persons with great style. I mean, just look at that bouquet and black stones in the rings…

They also said some really nice things about me. If I’m not wrong it was something like this:

”It’s been such a pleasant time and you made it all natural and simple”

Hectic times…

It’s been a really hectic time the last few weeks. I’m preparing a 4 weeks vacation, I’m shooting corporate portraits, shooting backstage with Schyffert & Lindströms ”Ljust & Fräscht” (more to come there) and I’m shooting products and doing lots and lots of other stuff.

No excuse to let the blog rest though. Here’s some portraits of Katarina from the beginning of mars and a beautiful spring sunset.

Anders Jivarp of Dark Tranquillity

Anders Jivarp, the supernice drummer of Dark Tranquillity, asked me if we could shoot some pictures of him and his new drums from DrumCraft. Of course we could!
We met before the gig at Trädgårn in Gothenburg and took some shoots. Both during the soundcheck and afterwards. Here’s some of the photos.

Would you like to learn more about them then check out their website http://darktranquillity.com/ or listen to them at Spotify. It’s not the first time I’ve shot them. They used one of my photos on the latest album. See the photo here.

A new friend and fellow photographer

Today I met a new friend.
At 10 I got a tweet from Louise Helen, a fellow photographer and entrepreneur. She asked me if I had a chance to shoot some portraits of her this afternoon. And of course I could! To read more about her and see her photographs please go to http://wilmafoto.se/

Here’s some of the photos from today:

My friend with the ties

I have a friend, Shahin, he likes ties. He actually love them. Or maybe he just loves to collect them. Anyway. On a wet and rainy saturday early autumn I met up with him and took some photographs of him, and his ties.

Some hundred ties.

Here’s some of the photos:

Children in their own surroundings

I just love taking pictures of children. Especially in their own surroundings, at home or at the playground. I always want my pictures to show how the children live and play. I want natural pictures that document people having fun and enjoying themselves.

Even though a studio gives you the best kind of light, the best backgrounds and the best control, it doesn’t give you the children as they usually are. Playful and happy.

Take the time and effort and try to take photos of your family as often as possible. One day, sooner than you think, they’ll be much bigger or even grown up.

This is Tage, a perfectly adorable little guy that just learned how to sit for himself. He’s at home, in his livingroom and his kitchen.

One of the things…

… I’m working on right now is this super adorable guy named Tage. I took some pictures of him at his place a few weeks ago and this is one of all the photos.

What do you think?
